01 / Get to know the school
TCU began in 1873 when Addison and Randolph Clark opened AddRan Male and Female College in Thorp Spring, Texas. The institution later moved to Waco and then to Fort Worth in 1910.
Its history includes a relationship with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Today the Horned Frog identity connects university life and athletics, with football and basketball venues on the Fort Worth campus.
